Trying to decide which head unit to go with. I think I have it down to either the Eclipse AVN5510 or Pioneer AVIC-D3. I want one with good navigation and the capability to add a rear camera for backing up. As far as Bluetooth, Ipod ready, TV tuning features or add ons are all just icing on the cake.

Which is the best to go with?
Or is there something else I should consider?

 

the pioneer ipod interface is alot faster and cleaner than the eclipse. also the bluetooth is nice than having a parrot unit mounted elsewhere. But the eclipse does come with the bluetooth and pioneer is just an option. eclipse has a bigger screen. im in the same boat cause i wanted the d3 mainly for ipod but i hate the small screen plus everyone and there cuzin has the d3. but eclipse update there nav. like every decade i swear. i might just save some more money and buy a z1 and call it a day.

 

neither...get alpine, alpines ipod interface is quick and user friendly

 

Im also not feeling the smaller screen on the d3... and the fact that you cant load a map and listen to a cd at the same time....

The eclipse unit is growing on me...

 

i've been looking into the kenwood dnx7100? thought about considering that? basically everything eclipse has but with garmin hardive navi. Just waiting to get a good price on one
