Depends on the tint. Metallic tints will decrease range on any RD mounted in the car. Also, keep the laser detection sensor window below the tint band in the windshield.

I have 15% all around and haven't had any problems with rear detection. I didn't go with a front strip because the factory strip hides the V1 quite well and I didn't want to lose any range up front

I have 21% tint all around. The front detection is a lot better than rear, but rear is still very sensitive.

right ... just don't want to shell out over 400 bones on a RD and have it's capability severely crippled and still get nabbed by the popo's. According to that article, I'm lookin at like 50% reduciton in effectiveness. Hmm...cost vs. effectiveness.
