after market radio install

Hey guy im new to the g35 world. i have a 2004 sedan with the bose system. witch sucks if i may add. i have purcharsed a DD din head unit along with the JDM DOUBLE DIN CENTER CONSOLE. i have two 4080 boxes one for each side. my intensions are as follow. one four channel amp for mids and highs and another amp for the subs. my question is this, how do i tap into the door speakers wiring. i have installed numerous systems therefore i will do the work myself. i will post pics once intall is completed.

your help is greatly appreciated.

There should be a couple methods of doing this, you can tap into the speaker wires at the bose amp (there are 2 harnesses) or you could always run speaker wires through the doors back to your 4 channel amp.

I would advise using the stock wiring (using wire harness coming off the amp in the trunk as noted above) for the speakers in the doors. Others have done it and it is truly a PITA to run new wiring.

I don't think one exist. I have an 04 sedan too and was asking for this info a few months back but no one could help. There is a diagram for an 04 but I believe it's for a coupe because none of the colors on the diagram matched the wire harness coming off my bose amp.

Running new wires IS a PITA! But I don't think there's another option. If you find one, please be sure to post it!

4080 only makes an enclosure for one side of the sedan, so how do you have two?

Thats is correct. The driver side is from a 2004 coupe and was purchased directly from 4080.It took 3 hours and a 10lb kit of fiber glass but it fits well after all the work. hopefully it sounds as good as it looks. ill know by this weekend.

There isn't an exact diagram on wiring the speakers but I do know that somewhere in the audio section there is a thread that tells you which wires to splice into on the harness for the speaker outputs.

is this what you're looking for?
wiring diagram should be same for coupe as for sedan.
this is for BOSE system only. There is another diagram for non-BOSE system...

Ok I know enough about car audio to install my own system. So I feel stupid even asking this....but can someone translate that diagram for me?
I just dont understand it. Can someone that does understand it just post something like: Left Front + yellow, left front - blue, and so on.
This is exactly what I've been looking for.
My dual din unit is supposed to get here from Japan by Jan 20th but I wouldn't mind installing my new 12w7 and 500/1 amp before then.

Thanks in advance for the help!!

Thumbs up

I dont really understand docs post either.

but i do know you need pins 19-26 for all 4 speakers if your gonna do a bose amp bypass. (meaning tagging your wires at the bose amp and running them to a 4 channel). this is how i did it in my g and my roommates 350. Just refer to pages 7 and 10 of the pdf.

anyway if you want to see the diagram of the bose amp schematics go here:

hxxp://www.350z-tec h.com/forums/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=8091

you have to be registered with the website for viewing it i believe.

replace the xx with tt and cut out the spaces. if we arent allowed to put a link to 350z - tech . com than google "350z amp bose" itll be the 2nd link titled "[MISC] Bose Amp Schematics - 350Z-TECH FORUMS

ok well this is what i did. i actually tapped into the wires from the amp. you can either cut them or just spit them. replacing the bose amp with a aftermarket amp made those speakers sound 100 times better. ill sugest using the nissan radio adapter it will make your job so much easier. that adapter is color coded and the colors are the same by the bose amp. now ull know what color is for which speaker.
