IPhone Integration *pic*

So here's my integration of my Iphone sideways so I can flip through the album art and view the videos correctly. The cable goes through the ashtray which is where I can hide it if I'm not using it. The mount is not fixed and can be removed easily.

I used the usa spec ipod integration (thanks g35ipod.com) and a very useful pdf from this site to help take down the 2005 sedan console, which I can now do in about 5 min lol.

the mount isn't really a mount
It's a clear case I got from the apple store, where it has a holster with swivel belt clip. So I just clip it into the holster which has the belt clip to prevent it from going to the left, and the cable to prevent it from going to the right... ha.

It won't stay put in a car crash (hopefully won't happen) but it has made it through my more spirited driving sessions without budging.

that's awesome.

i have the 2005 g35 coupe MT, would the install be the same for MT? i have the same iphone case as well. i'd love to put my iphone right there by the ashtray. i'm worried about taking out the console though, was it complicated? i looked at the pics at g35ipod.com and it looked a bit involved. i'm not the most technically inclined so was curious about how difficult it was.

thx for any input and nice job.

It looks more complicated than it was.

But from what I've seen, the 2005 sedan AT is easier than the coupe AT as you don't have to mess with the driver side or passenger side screws\covers.

and for what it's worth, I've never taken apart a console before but the guides you find on the internets are pretty well documented.

Good luck!

TO 777 or PacoCamino -

Do either of you remember the name of the iPhone case/holder that you own?

iPhone case

the name of my case is:

Contour iSee for iPhone

they have great customer service. they sent me a new belt clip when mine got loose, no questions asked. my only c/o is that it scratched the back of my phone a little bit...u can hardly tell, but i notice these things.

check out the link on the apple web page

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...A&mco=D465224A

u may want to check with 777 to make sure that's the one he's got for sure if you're trying to do his mount.

hope this helps.
