Double Din Install - Wire Harness, PAC, A/C Control

Sorry, I'm sure this has been posted 300 times, but I just couldn't find the answers. Or at least any answers that are current.

I have an 05 G35 Coupe.

I've read that I need the Nissan Wire harness for my Double Din install. First off, is this necessary if I'm planning to power my speakers with aftermarket amps? I found this part number on crutchfield. Is this the correct one - Scosche NN03 - assuming I need it?

Can anyone provide me the correct PAC controller part number for the steering wheel controls. I am going to use a Kenwood 8019.

Finally, the last piece will be the A/C Controller/DD Finisher. Jason@Riverside is out of them, so I'm planning to purchase one from grubbsperformance. Any current opinions about grubbs good or bad?

Unless you like the torture of looking at wire diagrams to find what each wire does or you like messing with multimeters for fun, everyone needs the Nissan wire harness (two plugs). Your new HU will still need power and ground like all other radios and the wire harnesses make it easy. The NN03 is the model from Scosche. I have even seen them at WalMart. You will need to connect the power antenna wire too.

You will also need the Nissan antenna adapter if you want to listen to FM radio.

You need the PAC-JACK. The K is for Kenwood.

Grubbs is an excellent vendor.

I got my AC adapter from Grubbs. Ordered it when they were out of stock, and was put on the top of their waiting list.
Once they got it, they promptly e-mailed me that they shipped it and it'll be 3-5 days. Came in 1 day. Hah! I guess that's because they're in Dallas and I'm in Houston. Grubbs is awesome.

As for the wire harness, yeah, you'll need the Nissan wire harness.
You need the Nissan antenna for radio or else it won't function unless you like listening to static.
Gilley is right about the PAC-JACK. Make sure you don't get anything else or else it won't work.

Thanks for the help.

Gilley, you have a Kenwood HU I believe? Do you know what components are needed to set-up Sirius and the Kenwood 8019 unit?

The generic Siruis tuner box and an antenna.

I should have posted this earlier. Crutchfield told me to purchase this.

Do I need both?

I don't think you need the CD changer switch unless you are adding a changer and a Sirius tuner.

With my Kenwood DDX 7017, I have the changer and Sirius tuner and there are connections for both on the back of the radio.

You will need both parts. The SC-C1 is the universal DEI Sirius Tuner. The Kenwood piece is what connects to both that and your radio. You can't connect the SC-C1 directly to your headunit.

Things must have changed since I got my unit. My Sirius tuner is different.

Yes... things have changed. The SCC1 came out late last year and the headunit brand specific adapters have been slowly popping up.

Now, you need to purchase 2 parts to do Sirius.
