NEW KENWOOD DD HU's starting @ $599!
Looks like kenwood is coming out of the box strong this year with all new redesigned units.
The new DDX-512 looks allot like the Avic-D3 complete with volume **** and color changing buttons and displays to match the dash. best of all if you don't need nav, the unit starts at $599
If you do need nav, the DNX-5120 form Kenwood adds GARMIN based nav built in for $999. (below)
If the D3 look is not your thing, they make 7" motorized versions as well.
The DDX-712. It has all the same features of the 512 and adds AAC support and built in ipod control (no cable to buy).
Of course they make this with Garmin built in as well, that would be the top of the line DNX-8120. but enough from me, here is the link to check it out yourself.

They should be hitting store shelves by march.
UPDATE: For those who want all of the top of the line features of the DNX-8120 but don't need NAV right now. Look at the DDX-812, it has all of the features of the 8120 without the nav. If you wan't nav in the future you can always plug in the garmin KNA-G520 add on unit. hope this helps

Would anyone recommend these over any other units? I have a nav, so basically im looking to add a video ipod to my car. Looking to basically find the best unit for ipod capabilities and looks the nicest. Dont want to spend a TON, because i can lean back and just tuse the nav screen for the ipod also. Anyone have ideas? GILLEY?!
Edit - I also want a GOOD bluetooth. I have a verizone blackberry 8830 phone if that matters.

I have the Kenwood KNA-G510 navi module (made by Garmin) that I'm not willing to gove up. I haven't seriously thought about changing HU's but if I do, I want a Kenwood with better iPod control, and I don't know what those are right now.
The latest Crutchfield catalog offers the DDX7019 for $999 and a package with the KNA-G510 for another $100.
