Can you install this in your trunk if you have the SAT hook up in the trunk? I dont have SAT but I know there is the cord to plug in the trunk. I want to purchase this because I have a Zune so i Need the AUX plug in. SO please hekp a brother out?

There is another plug-in for the USA-spec behind the radio so yes you can use the SAT plut in the trunk but you would still need a long enough cord to reach the head unit from the trunk and the USA-spec doesn't come with a long enough cord.

Or you could just leave the iPod in your trunk (another member did this and described it in the DIY) since you can't do anything with it anyways. Should save you a ton of wiring troubles

So even if I just want to use the Aux output (where I can easily get extention cords), I can't just use the Sat hookup in the trunk?

Do you know what cord that would be? Has anyone tried this? I'd much rather plug the unit in the trunk then run a long Aux in extention to the front of the car than to remove my HU.

Not sure about the trunk

The instructions that come with the unit describe how to install via hookups at the back of the HU. I am not sure about connecting it to the SAT cable in the trunk. As stated above there is someone who describes how to do it this way in the DIY section so I guess it can be done.
