Radio Volume
Radio Volume
Hi,
I heard that the radio volume is suppose to go up and down depending on how fast you are driving. I don't I have seen this in my car. I was wondering if you need to enable something for this to happen or if anyone knows about this. I have a G35 Coupe 2006, 6MT with Navigation and Premium.
Thanks

You can set it to low, medium, high, and off. You should be able to get to it by hitting the button to cycle through the bass, treble, fader, etc settings. I think is is identified as SVC.
I see. So in the SSV you can tell it to how much automatically change the volume based on the speed? Or you still manually tweek the volume level it seems like from what you guys are saying?
Thanks
Thanks

On my '04 I just cycle through the audio controls the same way I change bass, treble, balance and fade, then the 5th one is SCV - can be set to off, lo med hi
I've found the SSV to be very useful. If it's doing it's thing, you really shouldn't notice anything at all. The volume level should appear to remain constant, whether going slow or fast. Also, note that the actual volume display level (1-30?) will not change.
I know that SSV works every time I get into a rental car (without SSV), and have to constantly adjust radio volume up/down!

Anyone know if the actual control/sensor is built in the stock headunit? or in the bose amp? or somewhere else?
I actually installed my aftermarket headunit and i'm still experiencing a change in volume whenever i'm on the highway. I thought maybe it was just the road noise coloring the sound.
If so, anyone know how to disable it? I was thinking of tracing the speed sensor wire(white/green) in the dash and see if it's connected to the bose amp. Just need to find some free time.
