Specifications BOSE vs. Standard Stereo

G'day all,
Just curious as to the exact specs between the 2 stereo options in the G, ohms, power, speakers, etc. I'm a bit of an audio buff so let the numbers fly. Well aware of the upgrade issues, options, etc. Just looking to compare on paper. Thanks! This is for an 05, if that matters any.

Is this the wrong section (Audio, Video & Electronics )? This is the exact question I have except I want to know the specs for an 07 G coupe.

why would you want to know the specs really? because either you like it or you don't. it's not like it's going to make or break your decision buying the car because if you're on here... you likely already have a G

I'd like to know b/c I want to know what's in my car. Kind of like I want to know the engine specs. Is that weird? I don't think so.

Either you know the answer or you don't?

well sir. since your car is somewhat current I'd recommend google as a source for quick information like that as you're not likely going to get the exact specs. It will likely tell you it's between 150-200 watt Bose system with 6-8 speakers.
The speakers, in the event that they haven't changed, are 4ohm - tweeters possibly a slightly lower impedance.
"Bose audio system with RDS, 8 speakers, in-dash 6-disc CD changer w/ mp3"
I stopped looking after I found that.

stock bose are 2 ohm no?
"regular" radio has 4 ohm speakers

both are decent setups but nothing an aftermaket and speakers wouldnt blow away

It seems both factory systems are aimed at providing a ton of bass that just comes out muddy and ugly

Ha, I just saw this old thread. It was back when I was investigating an '05 before I purchased. Wound up with an '06, same stereo of course.
