problem w/ IVA-W205, help!

MAN! this thing is giving me a pain down my forehead!

it just suddenly happened. For some reason, after i switched the screen from ipod to navi, the whole screen has a blue-ish hue/contrast to it. I tried to fix it by turning it off, and on. Then tried to fix the brightness. NO GO. You guys know how the screen should be, right? The words and colors are bright. Now the words, the colors, everything has a bluish hue to it. I hate it, its not how i originally got it. So i tried to reset the system. Still nothing. I never messed around with it or anything bc i got the functions down in 1 hour. It just suddenly happened out of no where when i was leaving work.

Do you guys think the sunlight shining on it almost half the day has anything to do with it?

What should i do? is it covered under warranty?

Sounds like the screen lost red play a movie or something you know has red in it to confirm, probably needs to be replaced.

yeah, in the setup screen, the buttons that were red were flickering. i tried playing a movie that actually had green, it was a dull yellow-ish green, not a dark bright green like its suppose to.

The unit should be able to handle whatever amount of sunlight on it. Is the unit still under warranty? Might wana go that route if things don't get better..

If its not under warranty still....you can send it to Alpine and I believe its $115 fixed fee to repair it. You have to pay shipping there and they will ship it back to you for free.

Yea, I'm guessing most likely they will tell you to deal with Alpine directly with warranty issues. Hope you get it resolved.

+1. Hopefully they are an authorized dealer. If not, your radio won't be covered. Worst case, just send it back and pay the money to get it fixed!
