CD Play Speed- Too Fast?
CD Play Speed- Too Fast?
Well, I got my CD player replaced about a month ago and the skipping has stopped, but now it seems like my CDs are playing ever so slightly fast compared to what I remember them playing (these are CDs that I have played many times before on other systems).
Is there a simple way to test a CD player for playback speed accuracy? I could use a stopwatch and time how long it takes for a song to play on the G's CD player and a player in the house, but I would like something more accurate before taking it back to the dealer again.
Any ideas?

Re: CD Play Speed- Too Fast?
Why not time an entire song with a stopwatch in both the car and a player in the house. This will at least give you a general idea if there is a problem. So say you use a 3 minute song and find a one second difference, is this a problem? Probably not, you can attribute it to user error when statrting stopping the stopwatch. Or if it really is off by a second, I'd say that's not a noticeable issue over a 3 minute song. But if it's off by say 10 seconds then you are probably having an issue worth looking into.
