I just ordered an Infinity Kappa Perfect 10 DVQ. This is a 10" sub with a dual voice coil. Each voice coil is 4 ohm. I only want to run just 1 10" sub in the trunk.

My plan was to wire the voice coils in parallel to produce a 2 ohm load. I then planned to use a mono amp to power the sub at 2 ohm.

I can get great prices on Audiobahn amps so I was looking at the A1801T which produces 560w X 1 RMS at 2 ohms.

Does this seem like a good idea? I haven't built a system in 10 years and I am a bit unsure about proper usage of the dual voice coil set up.
