hey everyone, I was wondering if there is a ipod adapter for the AVN Eclipse AVN5435 ?? i googled but couldn't find any success stories.
Thanks
Thanks
yes.
auxilery cable (cheap way)
peripheral makes one that uses the sat button that you probably cant see on your main screen until something is plugged in.
its kinda wack both ways, i had it when i used the avn and it wasnt worth it. two ways you could wire up the peripheral piece, 1st way is itll use the cd changer button (i believe) but only do 99 songs. second way itll use sat or sirius and show some part of the song, but you can keep going past 99 songs.
sell the deck get a better one was my solution.

I have one. Look here at Crutchfield.

I took this from another forum and I agree with this 100%
"My first impressions are that unless you have direct ipod controls built-in to your AVN unit like the new 5500 and 6600, this thing blows chunks BIG TIME!
The IPC-106 unit has two dip switches on it that set it up to run either in CD changer mode, Sirius mode or full ipod control (5500/6600).
Since I use the Sirius tuner on my AVN unit, the only option is to run it in CD Changer mode. Indeed the AVN unit sees the controller as a CD Changer.
Once you plug your ipod in, you lose the controls on the iPod itself and the iPod just displays "Eclipse". The only way to control it is through the AVN unit.
In CD Changer mode you have very , very limited control over the ipod. No text display and no search capabilities.
Your display shows 1-2-3-4, like disc numbers, which allow you to set song selection by Playlist, Artist, Album and Track respectively. So if you are set to "2" you can advance by artist one at a time forward or backward. If you are set to "4" you can move one song at a time forward or backward.
Needless to say, unless you only have 20 songs on your ipod, it would take days to search and find anything you are looking for - all while trying to drive.
---Conclusion..........if you are using anything but the current generation of Eclipse head unit with built-in ipod controls..........skip the IPC-106. It is not worth the $100+ you have to pay for it."
