My daddy just bought me this new car and I want to install this navigation system...but I don't really know much about it or how to go about doing so. >.< Can anyone give me some feedback on this specific system and on how I should/can install it? Is this the best option out there? If not, which one is... AND if there are any custom jobs can you post some pictures up? Thanx~!! ^^

i'm actually getting an AVX cuz i already have the navigation option, but in my opinion the eclipse navi is much better than Infiniti's. Touch screen, better graphics, and uses the same interface as all the Lexus models. You'll need to get the double din kit from J-garage.com and also you'd have to buy your whole a/c controller setup again since it was integrated into the stock stereo which is like another 2 bills.

I would try asking/searching in the Audio/Video/Sat/Nav forum. I'm not sure from your post, but you don't plan on literally installing it yourself do you?

Eclipse AVN is the only way to go. Our shop has installed a bunch!

 

Hey... everyone^^ thanks for the help^^ ... While talking with my daddy, I have come up with a new option...but I don;t know if it will work or not^^ ... so here it goes^^....how about the new avx-2494(because it has a better resolution lcd with crystal clear picture quality - 1,152,000 dots[800*480*3) - in comparison to that of the AVN-2454 - 280,800 dots[400*234*3] - and also a hard drive to store 1000s of mp3s) with a seperate navigation system to be hooked up to it ... such as the Kenwood KNA-DV3100 (it has the voice activated command console...etc)? Would this not make the ultimate navigation and entertainment center in my ride? I would think that this combination would blow everything that is currently in the market to total oblivion^^.. that is.. if this combination would work : ) ... but.. really I don't know much about any electronics^^... thanx >.< could you guys help me out on this one?
