Can your own ICC set off your own radar detector??
I read in Car and Driver that the laser in the ICC in the Infiniti's are "on" even when you are not using the ICC. So in theory, if you have the tech package with the ICC in your car, you can set off your own radar detector when the laser signal bounces back to your own car after reflecting it off a car in front of you.
Does anyone with ICC and with a radar detector experience that problem -- setting off your radar detector b/c of the laser in your Infiniti's ICC?
I want to buy a V1 or a 9500i, but would be annoyed as hell if my own car is setting off my radar detector! I was standing in front of the 9500i at Best Buy yesterday ready to pull the trigger ... but I couldn't do it b/c of this issue and the fact that Best Buy would charge me 15% restocking fee if I were to return the 9500i in the event that my own car's ICC sets off the 9500i constantly ... sigh.
