Sedan Bose has a POWERED WOOFER?
According to this post:

it looks like the sedan Bose system has a powered woofer. Am I reading that right? If so, why does it sound like...well, like it does?
Do any manufacturers make an 8 inch powered sub that would fit the rear deck mount?

Re: Sedan Bose has a POWERED WOOFER?
Yes, the sedan with Bose does have woofer, and I think it may be some sort of powered woofer. The reason I think it sounds the way it does is because of the enclosure resonance. The enclosure is basically the very thin cover below the woofer in the trunk. This cover is very thin and it appears that Infiniti tried to make it more rigid by adding a piece of "double stick tape" on the upper edge near the deck lid. I was thinking about adding some dynamat to the inside of the thin cover to try and dampen the resonance. And then adding a new woofer in place of the stock one, but only if I can get the Bose one to sound better.
