How to remove stock HU with an AT?

I found several articles on removing the HU in a car with a standard trans but none for an auto... I am sure that most of it is the same except the bezel that goes around the shifters is different. If anyone can enlighten me on that I can get the rest from the other articles.

Wot year?

05

put car in N/D

try to pull down on the chrome thing that holds the leather to the ****

you will expose a C clip towards the radio pull that, it might go flying if you are new so dont lose it

pull off the ****

that whole center piece comes off as one from the chrome lining to the cig lighter/tray

pull the cig lighter harness

The car is a 06 so it should work, the 05-06 are the same cars right?

That link is for a standard trans car. I have an auto. I followed what JEAThirty5 said and it worked perfectly. When I get ready to do the whole thing I will take detailed pics and do a write up.

Yeah. It's really the same as the 05 MT disassembly. I have a 2006 Sedan, too.

Did it this weekend and went relatively smoothly
