Installation instruction/equipment needed for 04 coupe
Hi everyone,
after researching the forums i found one post that was especially helpful from Docron1 listed below
https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/176277-my-2003-04-g35-double-din-conversion-diy-guide.html
now i have several question. I just want to replace the factory stereo/cassette player in place of an aftermarket cd player. I notice that there are different colors for the dash kit. i plan on getting the Metra and not the JDM(??) since i don't have to mess with the AC controll and soldering it. how do we know what color is right for our car?? is there a color code anywhere on our car??
Also what equipment do i need?? i researched and found that i need
1) Nissan wiring harness
2) an antenna adapter
3) amp bypass (can you tell me what this is and a link to one)
4)aftermarket interface (can you tell me what this is and a link to one)
Is this all the equipment that i need to install the head unit myself? also is there any other thing i should know before installing one?/ thanks for the help in advance..

3) amp bypass? I'm assuming you're talking about an LOC? Are you sticking with your Bose amp and crapy stock speakers?
4) aftermarket interface? what is that and where did you read about that?
read my DIY thread located in the sticky section of this forum and it has a link to my pdf file (which I think is fixed to download now) and also it has the updates to the DIY guide that I originally wrote in 2004.
if you have further questions, ask....
