Has anyone been able to succesfully integrate the OEM Navigation (specifically from an 03-04 coupe) with the double din kit (specifically the Metra kit)?

I am having severe issues in trying to fit the OEM navigation screen with the double din trim. The Navigation controls do not fit properly with the trim piece, and the screen no longer slides easily out, from the trim piece.

Does anyone have any tips? This is extremely frustrating?

Maybe I need to go with the JDM kit instead?

That may be another difference between the Metra kit and the JDM trim piece. The Metra kit probably wasn't designed for use with the OEM navigation since it comes with its own door.

 

So there is no seperate JDM trim piece for navigation vs JDM trim piece without navigation, correct? Its the same piece for both cars, correct?

My '03 JDM kit works great with my Nav.

 

The JDM piece is the same for both options - with and without factory navigation.
