Holy crap its a tight fit back there. I tried to get everything done before I had to leave for California and I ended up not finishing because I couldn't get the new HU to go all the way in. I guess I'll have to look at the wiring some more when I get back to try and find a way to create more room for the HU to slide in.

Mine is tucked to the left side of the radio.

Mine is under the ashtray area along with my TR-7 and all kinds of other wiring.

^ Mine is in the same spot.. It also provides easy access if you need to reprogram it for whatever reason (or forget to program it to begin with like me)..

For the wiring, I just got my hand back there and started cramming everything down (behind the ashtray).. The unit slid in easily after that..

However, next time I remove the HU I will probably trim off some of the excess wiring there (such as the unused wires PAC harness) to make more room..
