a/c question with aftermarket headunit

i couldnt resist hooking up my alpine headunit, im still waiting for my dashkit to arrive, but one thing is i cannot turn off my a/c... when i turn the car on, it runs at 60 degrees full blast, and after driving for maybe 10-15 mins, i can see wet spots where the vents are and some in the center console, is thisi actually wet water or dry freeon? cuz my headunit is exposed and all the wires are below it, im afraid that if it is actually wet water that the a/c is producing that it will drip onto all them wires and really mess things up, please help...

Re: a/c question with aftermarket headunit

I have heard from some people that theirs gets stuck on 75 with NO A/C.

My recommendation is to plug the AC controller back in, turn on the car, turn off your AC and fans, then turn off the car. Then unplug the AC controller. All while leaving the battery plugged in (for memory purposes).
Try that and see if it works. Let me know if it works. I am also tempted to do the same as you....
Just waiting on Yoshi to mail the parts, it seems like the v35 AC Controller is taking forever to arrive to Yoshi. He told me that he already received the dash and brackets, just waiting on the AC controller. Hmmm...
Anyway, let me know dude, good luck!

Yosi usually gets all the parts at 1 time fron Nissan Japan, usually takes a week or so for him to get the parts.

YAH! IM SO EXCITED! lol

for me, he didnt get them all at once, he said he received everything but the AC Controller, perhaps everyone in the US buying AC Controllers is making them be on backorder. Yoshi will ship them all in 1 package though if thats what your wondering

I started talking to him on April 9th, but placed the order on April 13th after numerous back-and-forth emails (it was very tedeous).

Re: a/c question with aftermarket headunit

All the wetness is is condensation. It is absolutely not dry freaon. Freon stays in the system unless you have a leak...and since a car a/c holds only a couple of pounds of freon... it would all be gone by now.
