What year?

I just noticed the Type R's have rigid rubber around the sub. My type R looks different. Is this actually a Type R or did I get ripped. Maybe its an older model. I'll post a pic of mine to show you guys what Im talkin about.

Yours is the older model. It will work fine with enough power.

Alright. Will the Alpine MRP-M500 be a good amp for it?

What is the voice coil ohm rating of your sub, assuming it is a DVC sub. Mine is.

Yeah its dual voice coil. 2 ohms
