How to bring out the stock Nav Player?

Ive just searched the forum for about one hour but I didnt find a DIY or a instruction on how to get out the stock Nav player on a 06 Coupe.
The navigation do not work in germany so I do not need the player only for the screen monitoring and fuel statistics etc. so I wanna replace the player with another DVD player and want to put the stock player somewhere behind the glove box.Does anyone know if theres enough place to hide it behind the dash and is the wiring harness long enough to store it behind?

Thanks for your answers.

as i understand it, you can convert into a DVD monitor, although it requires a new player, region specific since you're in Germany. check the DIY section.

I don't think there's enough room to put it behind the console area. The wiring harnesses are only long enough to make up the factory connections, not much extra slack.

thanks for the answers.
hmm maybe I will try to install the OEM Nav Player under the glove box.I hope this would work because it will be the best solution for me.Maybe I can install some longer cables on the harness.But I think there are many of them behind it.

@snoft

I do not need the OEM Disc input on the Nav player any more because I will never be able to use this in Germany so I can install the player somewhere I cannot reach it any more.

Is it difficult to remove the player from its stock place?do I have to remove any more parts than the glove box?Would be great if someone could explain the removal to me before I do something wrong.I havent found a DIY about this.

It's not too bad to remove but you're correct in assuming there are a lot of wires connected to it. I'd say approximately 50.

My pleasure.

After you remove your lower console/glove box, you should be able to look up and see where it bolts in and all of the wire harnesses.
