2004 Oem Navi Installation

I have a local guy who's selling me his 2004 oem navi for $300 is this a good deal or what?
The only thing is it doesn't come with any wiring harness or anything.... so I guess my question is, is it even worth it? I just dont want to burn the $300 if its not gonna work.
thanks for the input

here are the pics

it's going to work....if you spend the hours required to install it. The harness is very difficult to install. You will need to dis-assemble the entire dash to put it in.

For the same price or a lot less, get yourself a laptop or car computer to install in the trunk. Then control it with a Xenarc or Liliput touch screen in the center storage area. IGuidance is great nav software for just over $100 bucks, and depending on the size of the hard drive, you can have your whole music collection in the computer as well.

I only had to remove the center console to install the screen, Run wires to the trunk, power, usb, serial, etc, and mount the computer.

MP3car.com is a great place to start, and here is a link to the screen I used.

i was told that the cars that came with navigation use a diffrent gauge cluster as well .
altho in that write up there is no mention of a gauge cluster swap.

Here you go. This is the touchscreen in the car. The screen has several soft buttons that take you to Nav or Music Browser or Utilities etc.
