Rewiring Front & Rear Door Speakers 06 g35x

Has anyone rewired the front and rear door speakers in an 06 g35x sedan? This is a non-Bose car.

I'm thinking about going with some Boston Pro 6.5" up front and in the rear with a kicker 600.4(to match my older 1200.1). I guess I would have to rewire the doors to the rear with the amp unless I jumped all 8 wires(+ and -) behind the dash but I don't really want to cut the factory harness to do that. I know I'll have to get a 4 channel Hi/Lo converter to tap into the harness behind the dash for the RCA's, but that's alot different than cutting the wires completely.

Has anyone rewired all the doors? Easy? Hard? Any snags to watch out for? I'm going to be sound deadening all the doors while I have paneling off as well. Probably going to be using a 12 gauge wire for the install.

I was tempted to just replace the whole radio with the JDM kit and double din unit, but I really don't like the look of a double din unit/screen in the dash. I like the factory look. On top of that, theft is an issue in the area and that's another reason I'd like to keep the factory look.

To learn what you need to do to rewire the doors, search for "molex."

I am one who thinks it's OK to use the factory wires as long as you are installing a fairly normal system. If you're going to run the competition circut, then you might want to run new wires.

Well, like I mentioned i wanted to run Boston Pro's or possible even some German Maestro if I can get my hands on them. If I wanted to use the factory wires I'd still have to cut the factory main harness to amp them.
