Need help!

Hey guys, I have been looking around here a lot and can't seem to find exactly what I need to know. So here goes.

2003 Sedan, w/Bose no navi. I am upgrading to a Pioneer AVIC-700BT. I have pretty much everything I need (adapter harness, Metra kit, and Antenna adapter). On this radio (GPS) it is asking for connections to Reverse Gear and Parking break leads. I have never had to look for this before and really don't want to waste time looking for this manually.

I am sure many here have installed Navi radio's in there cars and maybe you would have a better place to locate and patch into those areas. I am not using a reverse camera in my car either. I may some day but, right not its not going to be put in. But, I think for this Navi to work correctly it needs to be hooked up to the reverse and parking break.

Thanks guys. Also, I am trying to get this done today. So, quick responses are really welcomed

I'm all alone in this cold cold world.
Well, I finished the install last night. Started about 6pm with putting together the new radio with the Metra console. then I went to the car and ran all the new RCA and GPS wires. I actually had to go back again and run a remote wire to turn my amps on cause the old connection was broken once I took out my Bose radio. I wish I had remember that before sealing everything up

Any whoo, I made everything look nice and neat. it was a PITA taking that dash apart with the clock area being the big pain. I broke that piece of plastic that sits in the shifter ***. Luckily I was able to Krazy glue that back together and everything works fine.

However, I am still SOL with those 2 connections. I would like to hook them up correctly however I don't know where the best location would be to put them to. I ran the leads out to under my steering wheel and I can still get to them. So far my Navi works so I am not sure I even need them. But, don't want to have something not work later on because of it. So, any help here would be great

Also, for some reason I can't access my iPod. Going to play with it some more but, nothing is showing up in the menu. The reaction time on the touch screen is fair at best. Its good at times, but other times it doesn't respond very well. The slight delay is livable, but there are times when you hit the screen and nothing happens. I am sure it was most likely worse before the update too. But, its fair to decent as far as I am concerned for now. And like and idiot I forgot to plug in the mic to the radio. Now I have to go back in there and put that in. Not looking forward to that really.

I guess I should put up a picture. I have to say that I am happy my AC works now. works perfectly!!! WhooohoooooOOOooOo!!

you only have to hook up the reverse wire if your running a camera, if you want to hook it up anyway you connect it to your reverse lights. You might have gottin a bad ipod cable, try moving the cable around wear it plugs into the ipod, to see if it connects
