stereo trouble

Okay so my stereo in my 2004 coupe isnt functioning properly.. The problem is that when playing a CD the sound only comes out of the passenger side speakers, radio works fine.. So I took it to an audio store and the guy said it was something wrong with a crystal or something and that he could ship it off to california to get it fixed for around 300 dollars and it would take 3-5 weeks..
So my other option would be to just buy a new factory stereo and replace the one I have..
I was wondering, which would you recommend? 300 dollars and no radio for 3-5 weeks or buy a new oem stereo (idk how much they cost)

I guess your car is out of warranty.

A new radio from the dealer is very expensive. You would be better off buying a double DIN kit.

Try finding a used radio in the for sale section.

What year is your car and how many miles do you have on it? You can also call an Infiniti dealer or Infiniti Consumer Affairs and give them your VIN to determine your in service date, which is the date from which the 48 month warranty runs.

There isn't a DIY fix. Sorry.
