quick question
are speaker level inputs and pre-amp input/output the same thing?

No, they are not the same. Speaker level is a higher voltage intended to drive speakers. Line level is low voltage and must be sent through an amplifier to have the voltage increased enough to drive speakers.

Ok TY. I'm just trying to avoid having to buy another amp since i have a good one already but it doesn't have speaker level input to hook up to the Bose HU. Guess I'll stop being a cheap **** and get it.

You can and should connect to the Bose HU using the line level inputs.
