Issue with playing CD's

I had recently gotten the '03 G35 and haven't come around to putting in the iPod integration stuff yet. I've been using CD-R's for now. I noticed at first that the first couple and the last songs on the CDs would make the skipping sound, more of a clicking but not actually skip. Though today I was driving around and noticed it was doing it farther into the CDs.

I have tried taking the CD's out, they check out fine. Even put them into a CD player to see if it was a problem when they were originally burned but they played fine.

What could be causing this?

I tried searching the forums and either I suck at searching or the nature of the keywords wouldn't allow me to come up with anything useful.

Also the 6 CD changer in the car, i've never had one before and I noticed it also makes a weird clicking noise when it changes CDs. I'm not sure if that's normal as well? I can take a video and show what it's doing.

I've had the same situation with CDs full of MP3's I made myself. Sometimes they'd play fine and many other times they'd crack, almost as if skipping. I haven't been able to tell if it is specific CDs from a specific manufacturer that combined with the MP3 interpretation by the player that is causing the issue or what. It seems some days are worse than others...

FYI, the 03-04 Gs don't play mp3s. 05 and up do.

the lens might not be the greatest for cdr's also you might want to try a lens cleaner. sometimes dust and magnetic interference can screw up the cds. if this is true then it will only get worse. i had a 2003 maxima with the bose, had the same problem and a lens cleaner worked for me.
