Lightbulb Question about Factory Bose CD and Diamond AMP PROBLEMS!

I recently bought diamond audio 1000 watt amp and 2 D3 4ohm subs. I have it wired up to the factory rca and remote. My amp protection keeps kicking off the power when i turn it up over volume 13...as you know the factory bose goes up to 31. Im trying to figure out the issue, and wondering if its the bose to aftermarket amp connection? I was told by an audio expert at a local shop where i got the subs and amp from that the factory bose system has issues with aftermarket amps and I need a new headunit, but i want my bose 6 cd changer and cant afford one right now.

Could someone with some decent knowledge with this setup please tell me the issue?

I didnt beleive theaudio expert only because ive seen a lot of you on here with yours hooked to your factory bose cd player.

I know sometimes a bad ground can shut an amp down.

yea but its not a bd ground, this is a separate issue. Im thinking its something with the remote wire, what happens is the bose factory head unit sends different wattage readings out, which we monitored, and when it kicks down to 0.L Reading the amp shuts off as a protection. What they did at the shop was cut a set of Tsunami RCA's and spliced them in with the terminals into the stock bose Subwoofer in the rear decklid...

Any Experts please help!!! Maybe they spliced into the wrong wiring harness.

what year? coupe or sedan? Did they get the remote from the radio before it goes through the amp?

it doesnt matter if its coupe or sedan honestly, but its a sedan with the factor 8" bose sub and amp in rear deck. The remote is hardwired under the dash directly to my acc. wire. The remote IS NOT the issue and has nothing to do with the amp shutting off at over volume 13, all the remote wire is for is to turn on the amplifier when the ignition is on. It is either the RCA's or my Diamond 1000 watt amp is what its narrowed down to.

Im not an audio Newbie, and its not something as simple as a ground, its something with the STOCK bose system and aftermarket subs and amp conflict. But Thanks for replying.

If the shop cut RCA cables and connected the cut end to the Bose sub (after the signal goes through the Bose amp) and the signal is then fed into the Diamond Audio amp, they that's where the problem lies. They are feeding a speaker level signal into a line level input. That shop should have tapped into the audio signal BEFORE it enters the Bose amp for 2 reasons: the signal is still line level and the signal hasn't been EQed by the crappy Bose amp.

I am not confident in your installer's abilities. He should know that the signal going into the sub has already been amplified. He couold use a line output converter.
