Navigation setting address

I live in florida, and when I goto put an address in to navigate to, it can't find the streets Im looking for. I then discovered it was only searching in california... And now I cant seem to figure out how to switch the state to florida. When i click on the state it doesnt find anything. Any ideas or suggestions? 2005 G35 coupe 6mt.

Maybe by resetting the settings to default you can choose the default location. You can do this by going to Settings > Navigation > Reset ALL navigation settings to default.

Another option is changing the state when inputting an address or any point of interest. For example, if you go to Destination > Street Address, at the top you can chase the state. Just keep moving the joystick up until it reaches the state and select it. Then you can change the state. Here's a pic of that screen.

totally off topic, but the 06 nav looks way better than the 05. anybody know if there's a way to upgrade the graphics?

I tried clearing the memory.. I tried taking the dvd out and putting it back in.. I made sure I had gps signal.. I have tried going to edit the address book entry, then try to select a state. And it pulls up no data.. I switch countries to Canada, and it had its data for states.. Just the USA doesn't. I am all kinds of confused. please help.

Here is the screen i see to insert address book entry...

Then here is what i see when i goto select a different state.

Here is the navigation dvd that came with the car, just incase i have the wrong dvd... version 6.4

At the main menu screen, where you can pick from address book, POI, route, etc., change the region you are in from California to the one that includes Florida. If you have already done this, maybe there is a problem with your disk or something. You can get a new/updated disc at the dealer. Maybe this has already been suggested. Idk. Either way, good luck.

Turn off short menus in settings page, then you should be able to make more changes to your default region and such.
