any experience with bose cd, help please

is bose any good as a cd player, is it a leading manufacturer/quality, reason i ask is that ive bought a nissan skyline 350gt '04, when i put brand new cds into the head unit they work fine until you get to track 17 and it wont read them until you skip to track 18 and then back to 17, it also started jumping for no reason, any one else experienced this, my car is from japan and not an infiniti and im in the uk, there are a few infiniti branded cd head units on ebay.com do you know if they will fit a jdm skyline thanks guys any help appreciated

The head units in our cars are notorious for malfunctioning. In colder weather my unit will not play tracks 1 or 2, because they skip as well.

There are a couple of major complaints.....the skipping is one, nor reading or reading error another, and finally the left channel cuts out completely.
They have been replacing these units for a long time.

If I'm not mistaken, the head units are not real bose....I think they may be infinity or clarion.

I would assume that the units are interchangable, since all the controls are on the right side as if they were meant for Japanese right hand drive cars.

Good luck
