Need speaker wire color code

Need speaker wire color code

I have searching for hours trying to find out the color code for the speaker wiring. Both the Left and Right door speakers have the same color code. Red and green wires. The old Bose speakers don't have any polarity marks.

You can try downloading the service manuals. Thats what I had to do for my 05 sedan install. Get it here:

Wire color codes are in the electrical / av section

Color code found

Thanks for Link to the manual...Green is + and Red is -...This totally backwards to the common electronics practice.

Snip the wires going to the bose speakers and use an AA battery to check polarity. Put one wire of the Bose speaker on the and the other on the - sides of the batteries. When the speaker pushes out, whatever wire is attached to the + of the battery is the + wire.
