Hi all I'm thinking about getting a set of Phoenix gold titanium elite 6" components and 1 -10" JL audio sub in my coupe has any one heard of or had any good experience of the phoeneix components? they are supposed to be bitching considering they handle 300/rms 600peak wattage a channel and they handle the full frequency range. They are expensive tho they retail for like $1000.00 a pair but I get them at cost so whatever but any anybody who has anything to say about them I would appreciate it thanks. Also I was told that I can't have anything larger then a 10" sub in my trunk with out alot of mods so I think a 10"JL W7 will be my sub of choice. Also I think I will stay away from rear fill I don't think it will make much difference to me if I have those componets with like a good 300 a channel what do you all think?

 

hello: i dont have first hand experiance withe P/G's components, only used thier subs before! most of the components 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 should play full range (50~80- 20k), just because they can handle 300 watts, doesnt mean you need to give them that much power, think most of ppl using around 100~ish watts per channel for the front and rear. personily speaking, i think rear speakers are very importan, i know, i am in minority here, but without rear it doesnt sound complete to me, and i not talking bout just "fill" i like around 60/40 spilt, you should be very happy with the W7s, just feed it enough power[img]/w3timages/icons/cool.gif[/img]
