I recently installed the Kenwood DNX8120 in my 2006 G35X but the installer didnt feel comfortable installing the PAC SWI-JACK steering controls. Does anyone know an installer in New York preferrably Long Island who has done this type of work before?

Was this a professional installer? He didn't feel comfortable connecting the PAC?

 

Yes he was a professional installer but he had never installed the PAC unit before. He said there was no place to plug the jack into the Kenwood.

 

I guess he didn't read the instructions. The Kenwoods have a single wire that mates with another single wire on the PAC.

 

He said he read them but just didnt feel comfortable splicing wires for something he's never done before. Nobody seems to know anyone around here who has done it before this really sux! I mean the system is awesome but I just hate having buttons on my steering wheel that I cant use and I love being able to change the volume with my left hand while its on the steering wheel.

 

Well I finally found a professional installer who is willing to install my PAC SWI/JACK steering controls for $100. Do you guys think that's a good price?
