Setting Destination

Need clarification on setting Nav. I punched in a complete address for a location that I thought was there for a while. It was the MTA police station in Beacon NY. The system did not recognize the address and will not accept input if the street is not in the database. So I asked system for Metro North Train Station which is right by the police station, again the system responded input not recognized. Then I punched in trains and again a response of input not recognized. After 15 minutes I did it the old fashion way and found it pretty easily. Then on the way home I started inputing my home address, but the system automatically took me to cities with only 3 letters punched in and no matter what I did I could not completely punch in the full name of my city. I know my city has been around for years therefore should be in the computers database. I remember once in the past, I was able to type in the city and state and the nav got me there without any street info. Any ideas on what I might have done wrong or helpful suggestions? Oh by the way, I did use the visual on the nav to find my way to the interstate.

Re: Setting Destination

thats what i was going to say, you probably have the wrong region or something... im not that familiar with Infiniti's nav system, but on most nav systems you will have to input which region to search from the dvd's destination listing. That makes searching MUCH MUCH faster.
