Hooking up a Playstation 3 in a 2008 G35
Can someone tell me if this will work and if not why and what I would need to do to make it work?
Thanks!
I would like to hook up my Playstation 3 in my G35 Infiniti. Can I do so by hooking up my PS 3 through my 2008 G35 via the factory Auxillary inputs located in the arm rest and be able to see the video on my 7" Nav screen and hear the sound through my cars Bose speakers? (I understand I can not be driving and must have the emergency break on)
Also, I would simply power the Playstation via an dc to ac converter, correct?
Thanks everyone!

You'll need to tap into something that can supply that much power to the PS3. In my 2006 g35, 100W is the max power to the armrest plug. The PS3 uses substantially more than that. Plus you'll have to figure the loss in terms of DC=>AC=>DC conversions. Meaning, you'll need probably 10-20% more power handling than you would normally.

Yeah the PS3 eats power. You'll want to wire a more powerful inverter directly from the battery. The PS3 also vents a lot of heat so you'll want to put it in an appropriate location.
EDIT It seems the PS3 uses about 200W of power during normal gameplay and around 175W during DVD playback and just a little more during blu ray playback.
