HU problems.

HU problems.
I just received my g35 yesterday, after reviewing everything was in working order before I bought it ,when I arrived home turns out my HU display isn't working anymore( the HU unit works just no display).
I though a cable came lose, checked it out, and there isn't anything lose.
My 2 questions are:
1. Has anyone had this problem before?If yes how do i fix it.
2. Does the HU come with a sort of equalizer?(bass and treble) If yes can someone guide me how to get to it (no display)?
