Re: Another G costum box thread

plug is done. Mold is done. First passenger side box is curing in my garage as we speak. This one will go in my car of course=). No guarantees for when it will be done as my partner and I both work full time. Pics to come.

Update :-D To keep y'all interested. . .

Sorry folks, no pictures to post yet. We don't want to scare everyone away! j/k! Just to let everyone know where we stand, the passenger's side mold is finished, and we are wrapping up the first complete box prototype (should be finished saturday). Since we're just two humble engineers that do this for the fun of it and in our spare time, it may take us a little longer to finish all of the products up, but two things to keep in mind: the box will be as strong as anything (composite structures are fun! and the magical stuff we use will handle a JL 10w7 with ease), and will probably not cost your left kidney. . .we can't and won't charge the "your paying for our professional title" fee. However, do keep in mind that it takes a while to completely finish a box since there is so much to do (obtain materials, prep work, build, cure, finish). However, as an added incentive, we did develop an adjustable mold so the airspace in the box can be anywhere between 0.6ft^3 and 1.2ft^3. Each customer will have to tell us what sub they are planning on using, along with it's req'd airspace and mounting depth, we'll determine if it is doable, and then you'll get your box built to order. You'll have your choices: driver's side, passenger's side, or both. The molds for the sedan boxes will be taken this weekend. Later on down the road, we'll check out feasability of developing an amp rack for the coupe's rear deck. That is where we want to put our amps, and if it works for us, we'll offer it to you! Please be patient, and you won't be dissappointed.

Peace not greed!

Wow sounds like a great product w/ the availability of adjustable volume. I'll most likely be in for a coupe driver & passenger side box for my two 10's.

Re: Update :-D To keep y'all interested. . .

i just realize that with the option of XM radio, there is an extra unit sitting in that space. this will preclude the use of that space for the sub. would that be correct?

Where is the XM unit mounted? Any pics? It may be possible for us to manipulate our mold but I would need to see some pics.

The XM/Sirius piece is connected to a very long harness. Unravel the tape and it's easy to relocate it somewhere else.
