Question about Carputers
I was hoping someone here could answer this question for me...
Can a carputer be hooked up (and controlled by) a stereo headunit with a touchscreen?
Such as the new Eclipse AVN-2454.
2004 G35 Coupe 6MT
Volk GT-7's/ TEIN Basics
Falken 245/35/ZR19 & 285/35ZR19
Kinetix Racing Camber Rods/ K&N Typhoon CAI

Re: Question about Carputers
No, I don't think any real head unit is capable of communicating with a regular PC in terms of touch screen support. You should be able to get the display to work through connecting the computer TV out to an RCA or S-Video in for the headunit.
You can purchase a VGA capable touch screen that will fit in a double din slot (http://www.digitalww.com) so it will look just like a head unit.
