True or False, If I get a Clarion headunit = less wiring??
If I upgrade to aftermarket CD player from Clarion (since the stock deck is Clarion).. Is the wiring "easier"?
maybe even the OEM NAV voice will be retained?

you'll have to check my only experience with my old cars headunit didnt but splicing is easy enough, all you need is a wire crimper/stripper and a few of the crimp camps. then you just splice and match wires then crimp them together in a camp and voila!
trust me it will be easy enough to do. the only thing i would worry about if you are going single din aftermarket is the nav voice

no spliceing needed if you buy the correct harness and wire it up.
The only radios I know are direct plug in are older Eclipse AVN in toyotas/scions

Nissan/Infiniti use the same aftermarket harness there's the 7550 and the 7551 - Metra and Bestkits number system. The 7551 uses RCA dongles where the 7550 is just straight speaker wires. the 7551 is easier to wire use because you do not have to solder the speaker wires down fall of that is that you could end up with alternator whine if the deck isn't grounded out well. I chose the 7550 for my car AND I have the factory nav working ONLY no annoying voice - thank god I hated that bitch.

If i were to use 7550, wouldnt the headunits amplifier get used unnecessarily since it's signal will be amplified by the bose amp anyways?
