Help installation portable gps

So i just bought a Nokia 500 GPS.. the power said 12v and when i plug in my cigarett outleg.. it's doesn't fit?? isn't the cigarreet plug is 12volts??

What plug are you saying doesn't fit? The plug into the 12v or the plug into your GPS?
