Free Sirius install tip
Free Sirius install tip
I am new here , I was a member on maxima.org for a few years and just traded it for a 04 g sedan. Any how for the time being im gonna go the cheap route and just have my sirius radio installed..so being im new please accept apologies if this is common info?
to get sirius to "pay for your install" call them up and tell them your radio puts out a bunch of static. They may tell you to move the antennae or choose a better station..bunch of BS! So tell them you have done that already, I told them I was informed that it needs to be wired directly to stereo, so after a transfer to a supervisor..they are shipping me a 80.00 install card, along with a fm modulator to hook it into cars antennae input.
I did the same thing with the same radio in my max, so gonna assume they dont keep that on record
Last but not least in case you dont know how install card works: They send you the card and it has a # on it that will list local shops that are authorized to install sirius..hope this helps the other cheap guys like myself..and it isnt a repost or redundant info

Not sure why this thread reminded me of this but here we go. About 1 year ago I was going to cancel my service because I didn't listen to it all that often, and I was taking my AVIC N1 out of my GTI at the time. I took the radio out and called and cancelled my service. About 1 month later I get a 350z and install the sat radio again with my AVIC-D1.(Remember my service has been cancelled for 30 days or a little more at this point) Hook everything up, and it STILL WORKED. Worked for the next two years until I traded it in for my Evo LOL. It's now getting ready to go in my G, wonder if it still works.......
