I have mine mounted to the backside inside the car so I just fold down the backseat and un-bolt the brackets I made that are affixed to the box and then it just slides right out.

What is the distance from the box to the back of the trunk? I like the box, but need a certain amount of room in my trunk to carry stuff for work.

here is the information on the specific box:

- will fit 2 10" subs

- hole cutout is 9 1/8 "

- mounting depth is 8"

- internal airspace is 1.70f^3, mono chamber

- gold-plated terminals (which also accept banana plugs)

- professional paint in ANY color you want. We just need the paint code or color name.

- thick black or charcoal carpet on the back. (your choice)

- raised "infiniti" logo molded into the fiberglass

Grills have to be custom made because I would be screwing them into the fiberglass if I installed any...i dont typically carry anything in my trunk. I usually secure anything in my trunk if I do put something in it. The grilles would have to stick out enough to allow for the sub to hit normally

I went with JL because I already had them from my 2 4080 boxes I used to have..no sense in spending more money when I made a profit off selling the 2 4080 boxes to buy this box.

Dang that thing looks B-A! I can't wait to start my audio setup. You gave me some good info with this post. I'm def. gunna remove my rear deck speakers and just let the bass flow in. Think that would stop the trunk from rattling too? or am I just dreaming?

Looks very good and I like that you had it painted. I am still happy with the 1080 since I still use my tunk a lot. Glad it worked out for you!
