I took the silver and compared to the G this morning. The finish I have (stock) is slightly less gray and is softer looking (less grainy), and even has a bit more sheen. But it is fairly close. The vents, however, are far from close. They are much more tan, though they are even more tan than the dash I am replacing. Right when I think the silver must be right, as it is fairly close, I find this posted at Edmunds:

What year is you G35? If it is a 2003 bigmurth is dead on. Infiniti knows that this is a POS. My G35 has a "titanium" interior and the beige Metra kit matches dead on.
I don't understand why I can't find Metra info relating to my Titanium interior. I wonder if those that say the match was not exact are those in my position, having the silver when they needed the tan. The only way to resolve, perhaps, is to order the tan as well. I just need to know that both vendors will accept returns. The original vendor of the silver does not have the tan and has not replied to my emails or phone calls. I want to get the tan ordered to day for 2 day delivery.
So the saga continues. I originally came to the board for all kinds of advice on the bose replacement, but little did I know that the biggest time waster would be screwing with Metra. Why wouldn't Metra address this titanium thing? Am I the only guy with titanium? Is titanium referred to differently ... say tan or silver?

Nothing? Nobody out there with Platinum interior on an 03 G35 Coupe with Metra 99-7604 or 99-7604T experience?
I'm miffed. I sent an inquiry directly to Metra, 2 different people. Nothing. I asked the guy I purchased the 99-7604 from if he knew which metra the platinum interior should get. I contacted 3-4 sellers off ebay if they knew which. Nothing. They don't know. And they sell the stupid things!
To review:
I have an 03 G35 Coupe with the Platinum interior. Meta offers Silver and Tan, which both look close in photos. In fact, vendors often use the same photo regardless of which they are selling. I ordered the Silver and it is not exact. Close? Acceptable? I guess. Am I happy? It's not as shiny, it is a little more gray/darker, and is not as soft ... it's more grainy. So, no, I'm not happy with it.
Before I order the tan/BOTH, since I don't want to return the silver if the tan ends up worse, one last time ...
Does anyone out there have the Platinum interior and used a Metra dash? And, if so, which color? And, how would you rate the match?
I don't know if my silver 99-7604 I received is off. If it's wrong. If the tan is close also, but not great. Should I just paint my own. No way I'm the only one with this problem. Metra is the problem. The product seems good, but to call your colors silver and tan and that's it? Wouldn't you want to say which colors match what colors? It's kind of important??? I did find a guy in another board stating the Tan was an exact titanium match. But I have had 2-3 others say it was silver ... or thought it was silver.
I'm still waiting for the vendor to let me know if he even has the tan. If yes, I'll just order both. But please speak up if you know.

Tim, do you know which color is correct?? Is the tan the right one for the titanium interior? I understand you don't have, but do you know?
