Hi all - I'm at that point all of you probably were at some time - about to pull the trigger and purchase a G35X but I'm trying to finalize the details and dealerships aren't helping much. They can tell you about horsepower, fuel economy but when you ask "How can I hook up my iPhone to the radio so and be able to control it from the steering wheel controls?" They look at me like I'm crazy.

Basically, I'm looking to purchase a used 2008 G35X. No navigation system. What are my options when it comes to getting music from my iPhone to the stock radio. I would like text on the OEM radio if possible.

Has anyone gone through this experience? My apologies if this has been asked - I'm new to the G35 world and I did a search but I didn't see anything in particular about the 2008 and the iPhone. Thanks all.

 

i have an 07 Coupe so can't speak from personal experience here. but from my understanding you have two options:

1. all 08 Sedans come standard with an Aux input in the center console.

this port looks like a little headphone jack (technically called a "3.5mm stereo" or "mini" plug). you can get this simple and cheap cable at any audio or big box type store or from Apple - looks like this.

2. if you're getting the Premium package, it comes with a true iPod interface. a real iPod Dock cable that you can plug and iPod/iPhone into.
