Bose amp Questions

As i underdstand the Bose system in the sedan consists of two bose amps. One mounted in the top left of the trunk(running the four door speakers) and on small one on the back of the sub. I also hear that the head units of the premium and non premium sedans are the same. Implying that there is also an amp in the headunit as well. My question is this..... are there really two bose amps in the premium system. or is there really just a bose eq(messing up the sound to the doors and sending a signal to the sub amp) and a 40 watt sub amp. this would account for the 160 to 200 watt power differnce between the bose and non bose system. Also, the sub signal is just a low pass signal from the front channels, accounting for why when we fade to the front the sub is also still getting signal. What does everyone think? Is this the case?
