watch dvd's while driving
 

does anyone know how to bypass the emergency parking wire so that we can watch dvd's while driving, AFTER it has been installed?
on the AVN2454, i heard you dont need to tear apart the dash, but just disconnect the wire going to the emergency brake. does anyone know where it is in the car?
greatly appreciated!
(this will be for offroad use only...)

Driving while watching movies is illegal so whatever you do don't ground the parking brake wire to any ground in your car because then you will be able to watch while you drive.

I've had the AV Electronic Box TV/Tuner/DVD box installed in my sedan...I asked the installer not to install the safey wire to the brake so that the system can run tv broadcast and dvd movies...On ym coupe...I'm planning on installing a PIONEER AVI system in the near future...

It's fun just becareful while the movie is running!
WHen I had the system, I would only run the movie while i'm in traffic or on a long road trip and if there were no cars around...It is illigal!

Well, it looks like your car is an automatic (I can't see the Brembos in your pictures, and your profile doesn't say).

In the automatic, the parking brake is down near the clutch would be on a manual. I would take a look down there, and see if there are any wires that look out of place. The wire you are looking for probably grounds when the parking brake is on. So for off road use only, you could just ground the wire instead of grounding it when the brake is on.
