Car Audio Shops in the SF bay area?
Car Audio Shops in the SF bay area?
Hi,
I want to have a glass enclosed sub box created in the trunk of my coupe. Anyone know of a place in the east bay that does good work for a reasonable rate?
Thanks!

I don't know what you mean by "reasonable rates" but for the best work, go to www.soundinnovations.com in Hayward. These guys do awesome work. They've been written up on tons of magazines. They did a great job with a custom install of an Avic-N1 on my Sedan. Check them out. They're not "cheap" though.

I second that!!!...soundinnovations is simply the BEST when cames to custom work, although pricy!

Does Oakland Hi-Fi have a web site?
Do you guys know if our car even has a sub? I have only had it a week and think the stereo sounds like crap! Will it sound a lot better with just adding a sub or am I going to have to replave all the speakers??

Re: Car Audio Shops in the SF bay area?
I have a sedan so I don't know about the coupe but I'm pretty sure all the Bose systems have a sub. The one for the sedan is on the middle rear deck. Personally, I think the system sounds fine. It's kinda low end heavy for my tastes but that's just personal preference I guess.
Anyways, Ernesto at Sound Innovations is a good guy to work with if you want a good system. But as Limeg said, they're not cheap.

Within the Bay Area, no other shops really comes close to Sound Innovations. Ernesto has completed 2 of my personal cars, and approximately 3 other friends that I referred.
For my Prelude install, check out
http://www.sounddomain.com/id/ken94
For my Bro's Integ install, check out
http://www.sounddomain.com/id/boychan
But all the other members said... they're not cheap... but you can expect top service and install quality the first time around. No worries of glued door panels and missing screws.
Ask for Ernesto, you can't go wrong.

the coupe does not have a subwoofer...at least not one that I consider a subwoofer. BUT they have two woofers that sit in the rear deck, 6x9
if you're looking for an installer, I'm working with a new guy down in Mountain View. Hopefully be installing some stuff within a month. i'll let you know how it goes.
