aftmkt nav sat dongle locations?

currently my sirius and my avics nav are just sitting on my dashboard, i want to put them somewhere as hidden as possible, what have people been doing? i contemplated putting them under the dash, but there was no real good place i could find where they'd be stable or able to fit...

also, curious if it's a viable option to splice the new aftermarket sirius antenna with the stock one, thereby eleminating the need for the aftermarket one.

thanks in advance!

As long as there is no metal above them, you can mount them inside and UNDERNEATH the top skin of the dash. Look for a good spot in full view of the windshield. The plastic will have no effect on them.

Try behind the glove and NAV DVD unit area.

I put mine right underneath the clock on my 05. There is a bolt that holds the radio in I screwed in the bolt and then placed the antenna right on top of it. Works great and I get excellent signal. My antenna is magnetized so Its not going anywhere.
